While you are staying in Ikaria, you will have the chance to visit one of the most famous islands of the Aegean, and one of the most famous Orthodox Monasteries...the world known Monastery of Revelation.

Saint John the Theologian was exiled in Patmos island, in 95 AD, he preached and baptized the inhabitants.
Over there, in the dark cave John the Theologian after visions he saw wrote the famous Apocalypse , or else world known as The Book of Revelation.
The last book of the New Testament.
Later the beautiful island of Patmos was considered sacred and the cave became a great place of pilgrimage.
The Monastery of Saint John the Theologian, is a famous orthodox Monastery that is visited by thousands of visitors every year.
The relics, rare documents, icons and other treasures of Orthodoxy that exist in the monastery leave speechless every time the visitors from all over the world decide to visit this holy place.
We are departing from the port of Agios Kirikos at 09.30. With no stop, our journey lasts approximately 1 hour.
The catamaran arrives at the port of Patmos, known as Skala.
As long as we arrive there will be a bus waiting for us, in order to be transferred directly to the Monastery. Our guide will take care about leaving the wonderful experience by touring the Apocalysis Monastery and the Cave.
After the tour is over, the bus will transfer us at the mainland of Patmos
You will have enough time to wander between the traditional alleys, enjoy home made food and local refreshments, and also souvenirs.
In order to return to Ikaria, so we will be at the port, because the catamaran will leave Patmos from Skala port at 15.20, and after one hour we will be back.
