Wanna visit and learn the history of many villages on the North side of Ikaria?
Then you may have the chance to have a day tour with a car and visit a lot of beautiful and completely different villages with mythical beauty and glorious history.
The first stop we have is at Monokampi Village. At Monokampi is the only cork tree that you can find in Greece. It was brought from a Middle Eastern country, and even though the attempt was with other 2 trees in the southern part of the island, it is the only one that has survived.
You are allowed to take pictures near the tree, BUT you are not allowed to touch or take any piece of wood.
After that, we visit Theoktisti Monastery. One of the most beautiful sites of Ikaria. A place where you could have the sense that fairies and elves could walk among you. You will be informed how this Monastery was built...but you could also have the chance to taste Greek coffee local muffins with ikarian honey and cinnamon.
The next stop will certainly...refresh you. We will take you swimming in the Armenistis area at Livadi Beach.
Lie on the sandy beach, swim in crystal blue waters, and also...if you wish there is a beach bar and a local restaurant where you could try many different tastes.
Akamatra Village is our next stop. A place with a beautiful square with a panoramic view where you can enjoy the wonderful sites of the North side of Ikaria. Traditional coffee shops and bakery are also located in that village.
Having your mind and soul full of images and experiences, we take the road to return to our meeting point -Agios Kirikos or Therma.
